Light Combat Helicopter will Officially Induct in Indian Air Force Today

Light Combat Helicopter : Today on October 3, the strength of the Indian Air Force (IAF) is going to increase. On Monday, the Air Force will officially induct the country’s developed Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) into its fleet. According to the information, these multifunctional helicopters are capable of firing many missiles and using weapons.

The Light Combat Helicopter has been developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), a public sector undertaking. It is primarily designed to be deployed in high altitude areas. With the induction of this helicopter, the strength of the Air Force will increase further. It is being told that this helicopter is capable of firing many missiles and using weapons.

Light Combat Helicopter to be inducted into IAF in Jodhpur

The official said that this helicopter will be included in the program organized at the Air Force base in Jodhpur in the presence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Air Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary. The official also said that the 5.8-tonne and twin-engine helicopter has already been tested for the use of several weapons. The LCH bears a resemblance to the ‘Advance Light Helicopter’ Dhruv.

Specialty of Light Combat Helicopter

The official further said that this helicopter has ‘stealth’ (radar evasion) feature. In addition, the Light Combat Helicopter also has armored protection system, night attack and emergency landing capability. In March this year, in the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approval was given to purchase 15 indigenously developed Light Combat Helicopters for Rs 3887 crore.
