Surgical Strike: 6 years ago, Indian Para Commondo killed 50 Terreorist by entering PoK

Surgical Strike : On the night of September 28 and 29, 2006, the fearless Indian soldiers crossed the border to exact revenge for the nefarious attack on Uri. In the Uri attack on September 18, 2016, 19 Indian soldiers lost their lives. After that, members of our Special Forces killed the terrorists inside the enemy’s home.

Uri Attack

September 18, 2016 Four terrorists posing as Indian soldiers entered the Brigade Headquarters of the Uri Indian Army after crossing the Line of Control. All of the army soldiers were asleep when the attack occurred early in the morning, just before sunrise. More than 15 grenades were thrown at the camp by four terrorists. 19 Indian Army soldiers lost their lives in the attack. Armed forces members responded appropriately and started shooting at the terrorists. The army responded by killing four terrorists.

After investigation by security agencies, it was found that these terrorists had come from PoK and were associated with terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Surgical strike

After this big terrorist attack, the fire of revenge started burning across the country. Eventually the army planned a surgical strike and entered Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and eliminated the terrorists at home.

On the night of September 28–29, 2016, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the late Manohar Parrikar, the then-Army Chief Dalbir Singh Suhag, the then-DGMO Lt. Gen. Ranbir Singh, the then-Chief of Northern Command Lt. Gen. Deepender Singh Hooda, and NSA Ajit Doval organised the surgical strike.

Film Based on the incident

Director Aditya Dhar has made a film on this incident titled ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ starring Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal, Yami Gautam and Mohit Raina in the lead roles. The film was highly praised in Bollywood and in the audience.
