Last Day of Nomination, Who will be Next Congress President

Congress President : The election for the post of Congress President is going to be interesting this time. Today 30th September is the last day for nominations for the elections. So today is going to be a very important day. Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Rajya Sabha MP Digvijay Singh and Kerala MP Shashi Tharoor are going to submit their nomination papers.

Apart from these, Mukul Wasnik, Mallikarjun Kharge and Kumari Selja can also file nominations. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is October 8. Meanwhile, discussions have also started to field a separate candidate from the G-23 group.

After the political upheaval in Rajasthan, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has thrown himself out of the race for the post of president. Gehlot has refused to contest the election after meeting Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi. The suspense has also deepened about Gehlot’s continuation as CM.

Dalit candidate can also get priority

Digvijay has entered this race after Gehlot refused to contest the elections. He has made it clear that he will file his nomination on Friday. However, it was not clear whether the party high command has supported Digvijay or not. Digvijay Singh has said that he himself has decided to contest the elections.

Sources say that the party high command is considering the name of the Dalit candidate. In which the name of Mallikarjun Kharge is leading. Apart from this, the names of Meira Kumar, Mukul Wasnik (G-23) and Kumari Selja are also in the news. Kharge will meet Sonia Gandhi this morning. All eyes are fixed on this meeting.

Congress President : Tharoor-Digvijay nomination final!

Here, Shashi Tharoor (G-23) will file his nomination on Friday. He held a meeting with Digvijay Singh on Thursday and both the leaders said that their fight will not be between rivals but between friends. Ultimately the Congress will win. Let us inform that the voting for the post of Congress President will be held on October 17 and the result will be declared on October 19.
