Universal Charger : 602 Votes in Favor

This decision will help in reducing e-waste and providing better products to the customers. The decision got 602 votes in favor, 13 against it and 8 suggested its adoption along with reforms. For a long time, there has been talk of bringing such a law in India, in which the same charger is used for all gadgets and if the news is to be believed, then the Indian government can also take a decision in this direction soon. ,

Universal Charger Required

Some time ago, the European Union (EU) had made a rule to bring universal charger, in which the union said that it will apply the rule to use universal charger for all types of smartphones and gadgets. With the implementation of this rule, not only will technology companies not need to make separate chargers, but this step will also be beneficial for the users as it will not require them to carry multiple chargers.

Apple Company Disagree

Apart from this, the introduction of universal charger will also reduce the electronic waste significantly. Apple’s opinion on this decision of the European Union was completely different. Apple said that with the introduction of universal chargers, the innovation will die out. Also the customers will also have to bear the brunt.
