The work of coaching depot for Vande Bharat train has started at Bilaspur and Gondia adjoining Chhattisgarh. First train will go from Bilaspur to Delhi by Sampark Kranti route. Also, another train can go from Gondia to Jharsuguda (Odisha) via Raipur-Bilaspur.

At present it is taking 18 hours to travel from Bilaspur to Delhi. But the journey from Vande Bharat to Bilaspur to Delhi can be completed in about 14 hours. Vande Bharat train going to Delhi will not come to Raipur. If Vande Bharat runs from Gondia, it will reach Jharsuguda in just 4 hours from Raipur. Right now it is taking about 6 and a half hours. This will save the time of passengers.

Railway officials says that the specialty of Vande Bharat is the coming time its speed can increase from 160 to 180 kmph. The coaches of Vande Bharat train are also upgrade. The seating arrangement is slightly different, so the technical improvements will made throughout the coach.
