India vs Sri Lanka : Who will be Road Safety World Series 2022 champion?

Road Safety World Series : Sri Lanka Legends has made it to the finals in the Road Safety World Series. They will face India Legends today on October 1. Sri Lanka reached the semi-finals by defeating West Indies in the second semi-final played at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium. West Indies lost to 158 after an innings of 173 by Sri Lanka Legends.

Sanath Jayasuriya’s bowling helped Sri Lanka Legends reach the final of the Road Safety World Series. Today Sri Lanka Legends will face India Legends. In the first season too, India had won every title beating Sri Lanka. In such a situation, Todays match will be an exciting match between the two teams.

Innings of India in Semifinal

India Legends beat Australia Legends by 5 wickets to reach the final of Road Safety World Series on 30 September. Australia Legends had set a target of 172 runs for India. India Legends won the match by scoring 175 runs for 5 wickets with 4 balls to spare.

First semi-final played in reserve day

The first semi-final match started on 28 September. But due to rain, the result could not come out on Wednesday and the match had to be stopped midway. The match was completed on Reserve Day i.e. 29 September.

Second Semifinal

Electing to bat after losing the toss, Sri Lanka started with Sanath Jayasuriya and Mahela Udawat. Both added 26 runs for the first wicket. Jayasuriya scored 26 and Udavat made 15. Apart from this, Dilshan 7 and Upul Tharanga got out early after scoring 3 runs. Ishaan Jayaratne scored 31 runs. Apart from this, Jeevan Mendis contributed 25 runs.

Sri Lanka set a target of 173 runs in front of West Indies after 20 overs. Devendra Bishu and K Santonki got two wickets each for West Indies in the match. While Darren Powell, Jerome Taylor, Suleiman Benn and Dwayne Smith got one wicket each.
