PFI Ban in India for 5 years Ministry of Home Affairs announced

PFI Ban in India : The PFI (Popular Front of India) organisation has been outlawed for five years by the national government. PFI should be banned, according to other states. The NIA, the police, and the agencies of all the states recently raided the PFI’s offices and made hundreds of arrests. PFI was declared illegal by the Home Ministry and effectively banned for five years. Action has also been taken against 8 affiliated organisations in addition to PFI.

PFI Ban in India : Apart from PFI, Rehab India Foundation (RIF), Campus Front of India (CFI), All India Imam Council (AIIC), National Confederation of Human Rights Organization (NCHRO), National Women Front, Junior Front, Empower India Foundation and Rehab Foundation, Allied organizations like Kerala have also been banned.

247 PFI members were detained

PFI was the target of raids on September 22 and September 27 by the NIA, ED, and state police. In the initial round of raids, 106 PFI members were detained. 247 PFI members were detained or arrested during the second round of raids. Additionally, 30 people were detained in Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh neighbourhood. These individuals are accused of engaging in anti-national activities and plotting to carry out a significant incident in the near future. To avoid any possibility of harm, Section-144 has been implemented in the area. But Delhi is familiar with the name PFI. Prior to that, PFI-led protests were organised for several months in South Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh neighbourhood.

15 states have PFI in position.

Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Kerala, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Madhya Pradesh are all currently PFI-affected states.
