Saudi Arabia News : A significant political upheaval has been reported from Saudi Arabia. According to reports, Saudi Arabia’s crown King Salman bin Abdul Aziz appointed Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, as country’s prime minister and second son Prince Khalid as defense minister.

King Salman bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia announced this information on Tuesday through a royal proclamation. Aside from these, Prince Abdul Aziz bin Salman, another son, has been appointed Minister of Energy. The Saudi Press Agency, the country’s official news agency, provided this information.

Recruitment to many important posts

The royal decree states that Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud will continue to serve as foreign minister at the same capacity. Similar to this, Mohammed al-Jadaan will be in charge of being the minister of finance, and Khalid Al-Falih will continue to be the minister of investments. Until recently, the Crown Prince, also referred to as MBS, was the minister of defence. He is regarded as Saudi Arabia’s true leader. Prince Khalid bin Salman, MBS’s younger brother, had previously held the position of deputy defence minister.

Saudi Arabia News: King will preside over cabinet meetings

Saudi Arabia’s military industry self-sufficiency has increased from 2% to 15%, according to a statement from the Crown Prince. Under the direction of the nation’s recently appointed Defense Minister, a plan is in place to reach 50%. He also stated that King Salman will continue to preside over cabinet meetings in accordance with the royal decree. For almost two and a half years, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz, 86, held the position of Crown Prince. After that, in the year 2015, he was elected president of the nation.
